A system which produces itemized billing details for long distance calls dialed by customers;details are recorded at a central facility serving a number of exchanges. In exc hanges not equipped for automatic number identification (ANI), calls are routed to a CAMA o perator who obtains the calling number and keys it into the computer for billing.
