virtual call
虚呼叫；［选择呼叫］
The transfer of data between two terminals in a packetswitching network, the call being established and terminated at the user's request by means of agreed data protocols. The term “virtual” is used because, although the call appears to provide a connection between the terminals, the network transmission facilities are allocated to the connection only when packets are actually being transferred over it.
